Operation Christmas Child 2025
 

 

Good News – Great JOY! 

By filling ordinary shoeboxes full of toys and other fun items, you can be part of giving boys and girls what may be their first gift ever! Local churches in more than 100 nations hand out these Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts at festive outreach events where the Gospel is presented in a child-friendly way. Children receive a tangible expression of God’s love and hear about the amazing gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Each box represents a Gospel opportunity!

 

 

Shoebox Donations

2025 Goal for LSBC:  500 shoeboxes 

Boxes are available in the church lobby or use a regular shoebox. Fill your box with a Wow Item (stuffed animal, doll, soccer ball, larger toy), school supplies, hygiene items and small toys. Drop off filled shoeboxes at the Collection Center by Nov. 16th. Full packing list & OCC info can be found here.

Please Note: Soap is no longer allowed in shoebox gifts because of the complications it causes in customs in some nations.

Other ways to Donate

Build-a-Box Online: Want to donate a shoebox without shopping?  Make one online!  These shoebox gifts are prepared according to strict customs regulations and go to children in sensitive countries.  Cost to build a box online is $30. Click here to get started!

Shipping Costs:  If you’d like to help with shipping costs designate your online giving to “OCC.”  The $10 donation for each box helps to cover processing, shipping and “The Greatest Journey” discipleship program.

Processing Center Trips @ Baltimore Processing Center

Volunteering at the Processing Center is an amazing experience!  Volunteers from previous years always want to go back every year. Volunteers must be 13+. Location: Samaritan’s Purse Mid-Atlantic Center, 7210 Ambassador Rd, Windsor Mill, MD 21244.
