Vacation Bible School: Emerald Crossing

June 22-26, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM

In a world filled with worry and confusion, kids need to know there is a God who cares for them. At Emerald Crossing VBS, they’ll journey through Ireland’s lush landscapes, exploring the powerful words of Psalm 23. They’ll discover the life of the shepherd-king David and will learn how to cross from worry to peace, from fear to faith, and from uncertainty to a firm foundation in God’s Word through a relationship with the Good Shepherd. Get your passport ready for Ireland and join the adventure!

Ages:  PreK and Kindergarten – 6th grade 

PreK requirements:  must be 4 by 9/1/2026 and potty trained.  Children entering Kindergarten in Fall 2026 will be registered in our PreK program.

School age grades are determined by the grade completed in May/June 2025.

WHAT IS THE THEME OF VBS?

At Emerald Crossing VBS, they’ll journey through Ireland’s lush landscapes, exploring the powerful words of Psalm 23. They’ll discover the life of the shepherd-king David and will learn how to cross from worry to peace, from fear to faith, and from uncertainty to a firm foundation in God’s Word through a relationship with the Good Shepherd.

Theme Verse:  Psalm 23:1 – “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

 

WHAT TIME IS DROP-OFF & PICK-UP?

Doors will open at 5:45. Kids can be dropped off between 5:45 – 6:00 PM.  Parents need to walk their kids into the building each night and make sure they are dropped off with their Group Leader in the Worship Center.  We will have free hotdogs available each night from 5:30 – 6:00 if you need a quick dinner.

Pick-up is at 8:30 PM.  Parents will pick up children in the Worship Center from the Group Leader.

 

WHAT IS LSBC’S CHILD SECURITY POLICY?

Each night, at drop-off you will receive wristbands with matching numbers – one for you and one for your child.  The adult picking up your child will need to show the wristband or a picture of the wristband to the Group Leader at pick-up.  No wristband?  We will require a photo ID.  Adult must be listed on registration form as authorized to pick up child.

 

WHAT DO I DO IF SOMEONE ELSE IS PICKING UP MY CHILD?

Please make sure whomever is picking up your child has the matching wristband or a photo of the matching band. 

 

CAN WE BRING A FRIEND?

Yes, walk-in registration will be available each night if it’s a last-minute friend invite.  Otherwise, have friends pre-register at www.lakeshorebaptist.org.  

 

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY?

If you should need to contact your child while he/she is at VBS, please call Dana Hedetniemi, VBS Director, at 410-916-5300.

 

CAN I PURCHASE A VBS T-SHIRT FOR MY CHILD?

Yes! VBS Shirts will be available to purchase for $12.00 – while quantities last!  We will accept cash and credit cards.

 

CAN I STAY ON THE CHURCH CAMPUS DURING VBS?

We do have a lounge area where parents can hang out during VBS, but parents are not allowed to accompany children to their classes.
